Fault Lines:
The Geography of Love

Welcome.

Stories have always been at the center of my life. As an English professor for thirty years, I spent my career helping students discover the power of their own language and the stories they have to tell. I've also written books for teachers and children, co-hosted Ecotopia on KZFR 90.1 in Chico, California, and worked with my family to build TurkeyTail Farm in the foothills in Northern California.

I am now delighted to share my first novel, Fault Lines: The Geography of Love

Set in Northern California and spanning more than fifty years, Fault Lines: The Geography of Love follows Mark, a psychotherapist approaching 70, and the complicated blended family orbiting around him. Through multiple voices and generations, the novel explores love, memory, loss, forgiveness, and the emotional landscapes people inhabit together . . . and apart.

I invite you to explore the site, learn more about the novel, and join me for upcoming events and conversations.

Thanks for visiting.
